SME President Steven Gardner published a op-ed in the Lexington Herald Leader on Dec. 14.

In the article, Gardner defends the coal mining industry, debunks negative claims about the industry and drilling that are based on myths and makes the case that the worldwide environment will benefit from more coal mining in Kentucky.
