Rio Tinto is one of the companies pioneering the way for automated mining with its work in Australia’s remote Pilbara region.

With a fleet of autonomous trucks already in operation, the BBC recently sent reporter Spencer Kelly to the field to report on Rio Tinto’s efforts to create its “Mine of the Future.”
