Stillwater Mining Company receives BLM Sustainable Mineral development award

Stillwater Mining Co. announced that it has been recognized by the United States Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for its reclamation and sustainable mineral development. The BLM honored Stillwater with its Hardrock Mineral Community Outreach and Economic Security Award.

This national award recognizes the company's concern for community responsibilities and highlights the economic benefits of mineral development. This award further recognizes the successful coordination of mineral projects with local and regional stakeholders. In granting the award, the BLM recognized Stillwater for its involvement and engagement in various partnerships and outreach initiatives at the local, state, and federal levels, in addition to the company's commitment to corporate responsibility.

Commenting on this award, Mick McMullen, the Stillwater’s president and chief executive officer, stated, "This award further acknowledges
Stillwater's ongoing commitment to social responsibility and our social license.
