Two killed in West Virginia coal mine

Two miners were killed at the Brody Mine in Boone County, WV on May 12, according to reports.

Numerous reports from the area say there are no other injuries from the incident. NBC News is reporting that at roof collapse at the mine occurred on May 12 while WOWK in West Virginia is reporting it was a coal outburst at about 8:50 pm.

The mine is owned by Patriot Coal.

State and federal officials will continue to investigate the accident.
