In its third year, the conference has developed a reputation for high-quality programming in a setting that allows attendees to interact with the speakers throughout the conference. This year, the conference will have an added focus of big data, as well as two short courses (Managing Metal Risk Exposures, Sunday, April 26 and Integrated Valuation and Risk Modelling Methods in the Mining Industry on Wednesday April 29). There will also be a delegates dinner at Opia Restaurant with guest speakers Dylan Webb, director, Technology, Datamine and José R Favilla Jr. director, World-Wide Industry Solutions, Industrial Products, Natural Resources Industries, IBM.
“The topic of big data has become much more significant element in our discussions,” Alch said. “We will have a compliment of excellent speakers on that topic, not only from the mining engineering firms but also from service and technology providers.”
This is a unique opportunity to get current on important issues that affect mining finance, investment and strategic planning and network with colleagues and fellow professionals.
