Port stocks in South Africa currently exceed usual levels, affecting transportation and indicating weakened demand. Economic factors, particularly in China, significantly influence global manganese pricing and transportation logistics. Industry news and issues Recent developments in the manganese industry include the suspension of operations by two producers in Ukraine due to rising costs and Russian shelling. Additionally, a company in Australia is developing a manganese mine in Arizona, potentially diversifying global manganese supply chains.
