A member of the Bloomfield Group of Companies, Rix’s Creek South is an opencut mining operation that produces thermal coal and high-quality, semisoft coking coal for overseas customers.

Located 5 km (3.1 miles) northwest of Singleton in New South Wales, Australia, it is based in the heart of the Hunter Valley, one of Australia’s largest coal-mining regions.

Rix’s Creek South produces an estimated 2.58 Mt/a (2.84 million stpy) of raw coal and 1.49 Mt/a (1.64 million stpy) of saleable thermal and semisoft coking coal for use in the steel and power industries.
