MINExpo International 2024 opened in the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada on Sept. 24. On the first day of the threeday industry gathering, the National Mining Association (NMA) hosted a Producer CEO Panel, moderated by Denise C. Johnson, group president of Caterpillar’s Resource Industries and MINExpo Chair. The panel featured Cassie Boggs, interim president and chief executive officer of Hecla Mining Co.; Mark Bristow, president and chief executive officer of Barrick Gold; Mitchell J. Krebs, chief executive officer of Coeur Mining; Paul A. Lang, chief executive officer of Arch Resources and Vikki Peacey, general manager of Rio Tinto’s Resolution Copper project.
