I first became familiar with Mining Engineering (ME) as a new member of SME during college. The arrival of ME in the mail (there were no cell phones, FaceTime or internet then) meant that day was truly a good day. ME brought a new opportunity to explore the mining profession and become more involved technically while building a mining vernacular and a directory of contact names, individual and company.
