In 2022, the estimated total value of nonfuel mineral production in the United States increased by 4 percent, in nominal terms, to $98.2 billion, from the revised value of $94.6 billion in 2021. The estimated value of metals produced domestically decreased by 6 percent to $34.7 billion, and the estimated value of industrial minerals produced domestically increased by 10 percent to $63.5 billion (Table 1).
