Keys to growing an innovative and productive workforce in a competitive job market

One of the great efforts of our time playing out in organizations across almost every sphere of economic industry is that of diversity and inclusion. Defining what that means and how it is addressed seems to be expanding rapidly, as there is increasing recognition of the many facets of life and people they affect.
Faced with real-time barriers to productivity in the mining workforce, such as baby-boomer retirements and a shortage of skilled labor in the pipeline to replace them, and with increasing demand from shareholders and the public to substantively address diversity and inclusion issues, these topics are at the forefront for many of today’s organizations. How this works out day to day in organizational culture and the development of the workforce is complex.
