More than 450 mining and mineral industry professionals attended the SME Arizona Conference held Dec. 5-6, 2021 in Tucson, AZ.
The two-day regional conference, focused on the Southwest, featured a keynote session, two tracks of technical sessions with a total of 27 presentations, a student poster session, lunch, a networking reception, a diversity workshop and a fundraising casino night. It capped a “Mining Weekend” in Tucson that included the University of Arizona SME Student Chapter’s golf tournament and the Mining Foundation of the Southwest’s Hall of Fame Banquet.
