How will back to school be different? A roundtable discussion with professors of mining

The 2020-2021 academic year was unlike any other as schools from pre-K through university were forced to shut their doors and turn to virtual platforms while the COVID-19 pandemic spread around the globe. In the United States, easily accessible vaccinations against the virus gave rise to the hope that the 2021 fall semester would signal a return to in-person learning and something closer to pre-pandemic learning. However, the rapid spread of the Delta variant has left many wondering what the future holds for academia and if there will ever be a return to normal.
