PREVIEW:

The global mining industry will be called upon to provide the building blocks for a world that is emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic with ambitious aspirations of change and renewal.

The world’s economy is being both rebuilt following the COVID-19 pandemic and reimagined to address climate change challenges and the goals set forth by the Paris Climate Agreement of 2016. To meet these goals, nations around the world are working to transition away from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources and will need a massive amount of minerals and metals to complete the transition. In addition, the United States is witnessing a renewed focus on infrastructure development and repair that will also require a huge investment in natural resources.
