The mining industry is facing generational and talent gaps that may be addressed by identifying new demographics and populations to recruit, retain and advance, and thereby help to alleviate the labor shortage in the industry. Leading companies are embracing diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives in their corporate strategies, as they go hand in hand with improved employee engagement and promoting all-around better business.
