Mapping of gold mineralization in Ichadih, North Singhbhum Mobile Belt, India using electrical resistivity tomography and self-potential methods
Horo, Dharmita; Pal, Sanjit Kumar; Singh, Sahendra
ABSTRACT:
This study was carried out in Ichadih to map the sulfide/gold mineralization using combined electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and self-potential (SP) methods. No geophysical analysis has been carried out to delineate such ore deposits in the area. Thus, the study provides a different approach for approximate location and extension of the quartz reef associated with sulfide/gold mineralization. It also provides the elementary idea for further detailed subsurface investigation in terms of geological and geophysical approach.
