ECSI and SynTerra have become one client-focused firm
January 29, 2019

Science and engineering consulting firms ECSI and SynTerra Corp. announced that they have officially become one company (named SynTerra).
“Combining the operations into one science and engineering consulting firm strengthened our ability to meet client business objectives,” Steve Gardner, president and chief executive officer of ECSI and and Mark Taylor, president, SynTerra Corp. wrote in a joint statement.

The combined company will have offices in Greenville, SC; Lexington, KY; Pikeville, KY; Charlotte, NC and Birmingham, AL. The Lexington, KY, office of Bowser-Morner, Inc., also became part of SynTerra in the transaction.

“More locations, personnel and service offerings mean even greater responsiveness for our clients throughout the eastern United States. SynTerra covers a full range of scientific disciplines in conjunction with process, civil, mining and geotechnical engineering. SynTerra provides services to the electric utility, forest products, mining and minerals processing, manufacturing, site development, chemicals, and government market sectors.

“We’re bigger, we’ve got a wider reach, and, for some clients, we’ve got a new name — but at our core, we’re still the same people you’ve worked with and trust. The move to one company makes sense because employees of both firms share a strong commitment to client success. Clients large and small will continue to receive the level of service they expect from ECSI and SynTerra,” said Garner and Taylor.
