The National Mining Hall of Fame will host the 2013 Miner’s Masquerade Ball and Wine Tasting on Feb. 16. This unique celebration is a great and different way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
This year, the celebration is taking a turn for the mysterious with a Victorian Masquerade theme. Guests are encouraged to grab a mask and wear Victorian finest and revel in an evening of tasting, eating and dance.
The evening begins with two full hours of Valentine’s wine and beer tasting made possible by the generosity event partners, Leadville Liquors and GF Rutkey. An elegant, three-course meal will be served in the Charles F. Barber Pavilion catered by event partner, Foods of Vail followed by a Victorian Dance led by a dance master. The Shadow Mountain String Band will provide music for the evening.
During the event, guests will be able to tour the museum, either on their own or guided by the executive director or a knowledgeable museum volunteer, while stopping at all tasting stations.
Guests will also have the option to bid on silent auction items from Leadville and surrounding communities.
In addition to dancing there will be card game tables hosted by volunteer dealers – winners can win two free tickets to next year’s event.
Tickets may be purchased at the website, accessed at www.mininghalloffame.org or over the phone, 719-486-1229, or by email, email@example.com. Tickets must be purchased by February 8th, 2013.
