Removing diesel particulate from underground mining; A view from the frontlines

Mining Engineering, 2018, Vol. 70, No. 10, pp. 31-31
Lister, Stuart

PREVIEW:

It was back in 2015, and the MacLean scissor bolter was already diesel-electric (jumbo trailing cable), so it made sense to him that if they could engineer a battery drive system for the unit’s tramming cycle, they would have the inaugural electric vehicle (EV) MacLean unit.
