New dragline bucket improves stripping efficiency
Mining Engineering, 1999, Vol. 51, No. 10, pp. 8-13
PREVIEW:During the past three years, a new rear-dumping dragline bucket technology has been patented, developed and tested at North Dakota coal mines. Field testing has shown that this new concept in dragline bucket technology can improve strip-mining efficiencies by reducing cycle times and increasing dumping radius. This article details the process, participants and the results for the development of a rear-dumping dragline bucket.
