Building on success: SME Minnesota Section Annual Meeting

For the past two years, Cliffs Natural Resources in Minnesota has tried an experiment: it has staffed a booth at the Iron Range Earth Fest. “It was a little unusual for a mining company to participate in an event that centers around preserving the Earth’s resources,” said Julie Lucas, environmental manager at Hibbing Taconite Company. “But Cliffs is a sustainable company and we want to take every opportunity to share information about our practices. We found the response to be overwhelmingly positive.”
